Calton hosted Tredworth in their final league game before the Christmas break. The team were keen to get a win as they were unlucky to only manage a draw last time.

From the first whistle Calton attacked and quickly took the lead with Barnaby scoring a well taken goal. However Tredworth quickly responded with a goal of their own, as a free kick wasn’t defended well enough and the ball crept in.

This didn’t deter Calton as they continued to attack and demonstrate some great passing and moving, some passes split the defence and numerous chances were created. Jaydan then pulled off an amazing save as he tipped the ball around the post as it was heading for the top corner.

Tredworth took the lead when their scored a header from a corner and as half time approached Calton pressed for an equaliser.

After the break, Calton were keen to go out for the win and impressed the watching crowd with their determination and endeavor. More chances came along but Calton found Tredworth’s keeper in good form.

However the equaliser did come and it was another well taken goal as Brayden hammered the ball into the top corner.

Calton continued to press and further well created and taken goals from Adam and Huey saw Calton 4:2 up and looking more comfortable. Tredworth still had chances however the team held firm for a well deserved win. Thank you to all the parents supporting the team from the sidelines.

Final score 4:2

Player of the match Ryan and Huey – but all deserve praise for their performance.
